License terms

This is the license that ships with each licensed export of the TremorWatch Supply Chain Risk Dataset (the "Data"), purchased via /data. By downloading the Data, the buyer ("Licensee") accepts these terms.

1. Grant

Volt AI ("Licensor") grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Data for internal business analysis, reporting, and product integration for 12 months from the date of purchase (the "Term").

2. Updates

During the Term the Licensee receives all weekly snapshot updates of the Data via the same download token. After the Term, the most-recent downloaded snapshot remains usable in perpetuity, but no further updates are provided unless the license is renewed.

3. Permitted uses

  • Internal analytics, modeling, and decision support.
  • Embedding aggregated, derivative insights in reports or dashboards delivered to the Licensee's customers, provided the Data is not separable from the report (i.e., the customer cannot extract the raw rows).
  • Academic and journalistic use with attribution.

4. Prohibited uses

  • Redistribution of the raw Data or any substantial subset to third parties, whether free or for fee.
  • Resale via any data marketplace, exchange, syndication, or similar channel.
  • Reverse engineering of source attribution to identify or contact the individuals named in any source feed.
  • Use in connection with credit scoring of natural persons, immigration decisions, or other regulated automated decisioning.

5. Attribution

When the Data informs a published artifact (report, paper, blog, dashboard screenshot), include the line: "Contains data from GDACS, GDELT, FIRMS, WHO, derived by TremorWatch (Volt AI)."

6. No warranty

The Data is provided "as is". The Licensor makes no representation regarding completeness, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. The Data is descriptive of public reporting; it is not a substitute for actuarial loss modeling, credit assessment, or legal advice.

7. Refund policy

Within 14 days of purchase, the Licensee may request a full refund by emailing hello@tremorwatch.com, provided the download token has not been used more than three times. After 14 days the license is non-refundable.

8. Termination

The license terminates automatically at the end of the Term or on a documented breach of Sections 4 or 5. On termination, the Licensee must cease use of the Data and delete copies in its custody, except for backups required by regulatory retention.

9. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Seoul.

Effective date: 2026-05-08. Volt AI reserves the right to revise these terms; revisions apply to purchases made after the revision date.
